AoharuNEXT Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Rion Moriyama; hereinafter "the Company") has identified design and manufacturing defects in the FocusRay Wired Model launched on March 18, 2026 (JST).

To prevent potential accidents and ensure product quality, we are issuing a voluntary product recall.

We sincerely apologize for the significant inconvenience caused to our customers. Affected customers will be contacted individually by the Company, and we kindly ask that you send your product in for inspection and repair as soon as possible.

Note: As of today, no serious accidents or related incidents have been reported.

Recall Details

1. Background

Following customer feedback regarding difficulty connecting cables to the top USB Type-C port, an internal investigation was conducted. To avoid shipping delays for units produced using unrevised casing data, an emergency measure was implemented where certain camera components were removed and fixed with double-sided tape. Forcing the final production run of 120 units under these conditions resulted in a severe drop in product quality, leading to the defect and the subsequent decision to initiate a recall.

2. Nature of the Defect

Due to flaws in casing design and assembly during manufacturing, internal circuit board durability is insufficient. This may cause the internal circuit board to detach during use, leading to short circuits caused by interference between internal boards. Furthermore, improper wiring methods may cause wiring to break. In the worst-case scenario, these issues could result in smoke generation or fire.

3. Corrective Measures

We will replace the casing with a defect-free design and correct both the internal circuit board assembly process and wiring methods.

Notes:

• Products disassembled or altered by customers may not be eligible for this recall repair, as secondary effects outside the official repair scope cannot be ruled out.

• The warranty period following repair is 1 year from the date stated on the repair statement, in accordance with our warranty policy.

• All recall repairs, including shipping costs, will be fully covered by the Company.

6. Information Regarding Customers Who Have Received a Refund and Own an Affected Product (Updated September 7, 2026)

For customers who have received a refund from us and own a product subject to the recall, we will collect the product as part of the recall.

Please note that we will not be offering repairs for these products. We ask for your understanding and request that you submit your recall request as soon as possible.
