1. About FocusRay

FocusRay is a face tracking device for VRSNS equipped with a high-performance camera and infrared illumination module. By incorporating a camera capable of shooting at 120fps with a global shutter*, the device captures the user's facial expressions in fine detail and reflects them onto avatars in VRSNS, enabling unprecedented levels of expressive capability.

*A global shutter is a method where all pixels of the camera's image sensor are exposed (capturing light) at the exact same timing, recording the image all at once. This allows for the accurate capturing of facial expressions.

FocusRay supports the following headsets (dedicated mounting brackets will be provided):

In addition to the above, we will continuously provide dedicated mounting brackets for newly released headsets in the future. (We are currently preparing so that accessories can be purchased at any time through our EC site and other sales partners.)

FocusRay supports smooth face tracking by utilizing "Baballonia," developed by the open-source face tracking project "Project Babble."

Please note that while this product does not support eye tracking, we plan to release an add-on module for eye tracking in the future. For other product features, please refer to the product page.

2. Product Lineup, Pricing, and Sales Regions

FocusRay will be available in two models: a Wireless Model that connects via wireless LAN, and a Wired Model that supports connection only via USB Type-C cable. The Wireless Model includes a built-in battery, allowing you to enjoy high-precision face tracking in a completely cordless environment.

FocusRay will be sold in Japan, the United States, Australia, Europe, the United Kingdom, and Hong Kong,and other regions, and will be available worldwide through the Kickstarter campaign.
