We deeply apologize for the significant inconvenience and concern caused to many of our customers due to quality issues with "FocusRay," which was announced on March 18, 2026, by AoharuNEXT Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Rion Moriyama; hereinafter "the Company").

Following our first report on September 4, 2026, we are writing to provide an update on our future course of action.

As reported in our first announcement, due to a mix-up in manufacturing data and emergency measures taken after its discovery, we shipped certain units of the FocusRay wired model that carry the risk of internal circuit board detachment.

Following this, we received numerous concerns on social media and the official FocusRay server, such as "We are worried about the quality of the wireless model as well" and "Is the Extension that emits infrared light near the eyes truly safe?" Additionally, we received multiple pointed feedback regarding the circuit board design of the wired model.

In response, we have decided to expand our action beyond just the casing. We are conducting a complete review—including re-verification—of the circuit design and board layout across all models in the FocusRay series, alongside third-party external reviews.

Consequently, we must reschedule component re-orders and various testing procedures (including certification and safety evaluation tests). We sincerely apologize once again for the further delay in product delivery.

(1) FocusRay Wired Model

By around September 18, 2026, we aim to complete the third-party review of the circuit design and board layout, followed by re-ordering components. Upon delivery, we will promptly proceed through inspection and final verification processes. Production is scheduled to resume on October 1, 2026, with sequential shipping to begin after verifying mass-production units.

(2) FocusRay Wireless Model

By around September 18, 2026, we aim to complete the third-party review of the circuit design and board layout, obtain FCC certification using the final specification circuit boards, and re-order components. Upon delivery, we will promptly proceed through inspection and final verification processes. Production is scheduled to resume in mid-October 2026, with sequential shipping to begin after verifying mass-production units.

(3) FocusRay Extension

Development will resume promptly after completing the re-verification of the two models listed above. We target finalizing specifications by early November 2026, conducting external safety evaluation tests, and placing component orders. Upon delivery, we will promptly proceed through inspection and final verification processes. Production will commence in late November 2026, with sequential shipping expected to begin around early December 2026 following mass-production verification.

Due to the measures outlined above, the official release date previously announced as October 17, 2026, will be reset to align with the shipping schedule once it is confirmed.

Regarding the recall reported to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) on September 4, 2026, the application form for the FocusRay Wired Model recall will go live on September 14, 2026, at 00:00 JST.

We kindly request that customers owning the affected product discontinue use as a precaution and apply as early as possible to receive repairs (or replacements) provided by the Company. All costs associated with the recall, including return shipping fees, will be fully covered by the Company. Please note that products are still subject to recall even if the purchase price has already been refunded.

To prevent the recurrence of issues previously pointed out—such as "inconsistencies and unclear rationale in external communications" and "varying content or nuances in support responses depending on when the inquiry was made"—and to strengthen our corporate governance, responsibility for Public Relations and Customer Support was reassigned to Reo Sato, Director of the Board, effective September 9, 2026.

Moving forward, all external documents and individual inquiry responses will undergo strict review by the Director in charge prior to release.

Additionally, we have engaged legal counsel to review previously published documents and revise internal policies, including our refund policy. With guidance from these external legal experts, we have revised our Refund Policy as of today, September 10, 2026, and initiated operations under this updated policy.

Due to a high volume of inquiries, response times are currently delayed. For all refund requests, regardless of when they were submitted, any response provided by the Company on or after today will be handled uniformly under the newly established policy standards.

Note: Advertising placements across various media platforms have been temporarily suspended.

For the product bundle "FocusRay Plus" (which includes both the FocusRay Wireless Model and the FocusRay Extension), a gap in product dispatch timelines is expected to occur as detailed in Section 2. Consequently, we are introducing a split shipping option that allows customers to receive the FocusRay Wireless Model in advance.

If you opt for split shipping, the FocusRay Wireless Model will be delivered as soon as it becomes available, and the FocusRay Extension will be shipped separately once completed. Any additional shipping costs incurred due to split shipment will be fully covered by the Company.

Applications for this option will open on September 14, 2026, at the URL below. If no specific preference is indicated, both products will be shipped together as a single batch, as originally planned.

Regarding the "explanation by our company executives and officers concerning the series of events, including the differences in design between the models and clarification on the FocusRay Wireless Model" as reported in our first announcement, we will release an explanatory video on September 18, 2026.
